Maybe at blitz it should be 42-52 instead of 40-50 ;-)

My point is that it is just a rule of thumb and should not be taken too
seriously irrespective of the time control. IOW, not so seriously that someone
should bother to devise a formula. Also, consider that such a formula would
depend too much on the many attributes of particular engine in question.
