I'm not sure. You may have noticed that there was a rule that progs have to
provide X-FEN, in the Mainz Chess960 computer championship. Then, Shredder
presented another format. What happened? The rule was immediatly changed to
allow Shredder's format. Responsible AFAIK Ingo Althoefer.

When Shredder thinks the 100th ply after 99 plies compliant with the 50 move
rule can be a pawn move and still it's a draw, who knows? Maybe organizers will
tolerate that as well and ignore the old FIDE rules.

It seems the only rule is Shredder rules :))

Maybe Shredder will have the idea that stalemate is a win, not a draw? Great!
Organizers will accept it, no doubt. Abolish the en passant rule? Ok, wonderful.
Let's do it in case Shredder wants it! :))
