Dear Steve,

Hi, I certainly appreciate your effort in looking for the instruction manual. I
did not expect you to go to all this trouble in assisting me. I've been
fortunate enough to read several reviews for this game and to find its 30 minute
blitz rating on a list of computer chess ratings.

The reason I spend so much time trying to read about these chess computers is
that it's very difficult for me to learn about these games unless I have a
chance to play them myself.

I paid about $300 for the Novag Sapphire which I bought several years ago. I had
a chance to play the game before I purchased it. I knew the game would be a real
challenge for me so I bought the Novag Sapphire from the USCF Store. The game
turned out to be very strong at the 30 minute blitz level (which had an
advertised USCF Rating of 2383).

I'm looking at deals for the Excalibur Grandmaster while I write this note. I
think I can probably get the game for much less than $200.

Your advice on the Excalibur Grandmaster (as well as other chess computers) has
no doubt been very helpful. You've helped me more than anyone else I've spoken
to thus far.

Thanks again for sharing your knowledge of chess computers with me.

Victor
