Is there anyone out there who can help me? I was fooling around with my fritz chessbase system and i have something fouled up. Normally when i change engines, and then click on new game, as it changes the name on the screen you hear that clicking or ratcheting sound as the engine loads. Or when you want to start a new game with the same engine you hear that ratcheting sound. Now when i change engines and click on new game, the engine name changes, but you no longer hear that ratcheting sound as the engine loads Everything is silent. What have i done, and how do i straighten it out and get it back to working like it was. Thanks, george PS> this happened once before, and the only way i could get it back to working right was to take chessbase and all completley out of my system and reinstall everything. But now i have downloaded and added so many engines i hate to have to do all that. Without that ratcheting sound i dont really know if the engine is loaded as it should be. Please help. Thanks
