Hi George The sound has nothing to with the engine! With or without sound the engine is loaded perfectly. The sound is a boardsound, like when you throw pieces on a real chessboard, to illustrate the setup of a new game. Before you do anything else, check in the menu Tools-options, pick the multimediatab and see if the board sounds is enabled. If they are, and you still haven't sounds it's a bug, but your engine will play minimum as good as it use to! Regards Henrik
