lol!
better still..i am betting that the buyer already paid the seller via Paypal
in fact i bet he had to pay the seller BEFORE he would agree to close the
auction for 6 bucks
so now, thanks to your efforts the buyer will wake up this morning to see the
auction relisted and with no deal and having to wait eons to get the money back
:))))

no no think about this
you got the auction to come back to life
an auction for what i am starting to convince myself is one of the very first if
not THE first dedicated chess computer ever sold

thats it
go for it

to you and me its obvious
but i think the seller just grabbed the money thinking that the buyer was
uninformed and offered waaay too much for a cheap run of the mill CC7
so he grabbed the offer
but generally i agree the seller is ALWAYS better off to let an auction runs
its normal course

and even this will not prevent hanky panky

i once won an auction for a fairly rare computer and the buyer was contacted by
someone After THE AUCTION CLOSED and offered more money

when the seller informed me of this and was hinting for me to increase what i
fairly won the auction for ,i went ballistic
even threatened to go to his house to discuss it
he lived within several hours drive

thankfully the auction ended normally
