Gian-Carlo,

I think what we are starting to see here is that Chessbase feels threatened by
free "amateur" (I hate using that phrase) programs and are trying to justify it
in this article.  The next thing we may see is modification of their GUI so that
they cannot play there.  I hope not because I would still buy my Chessbase based
programs from time to time.

Many of these "amateur" programs, among others, provide the enjoyment and
variety of playing something else besides S9 or DS9 all day long.   DHM
