While I agree with Kurt about the defaults, it can be fun to experiment, and sometimes useful, not at least when analysing. The link below is Shredder 7(.04) and 8, but you can enter the values into Shredder 9 as well, but pay attention to the small differences. I've tried some of them, and they are not bad. It looks to me like some parts has been taking into account when developing Shredder 9, ie. the king-safety.
