Well, this is one of the few things my Pedestrian does well :-). So, I basically use only two things and it works really quickly. 1) Piece-square table penalizing the opposing king for being near the edge of the board, and especially in the corner. 2) Reward my king for being close to the opposing king (forget centralization etc. - just chase the guy). This works well for me in K+Q v K, K+R v K, K+BB v K. Only for K+BN v K I have to use additional piece-square tables for my minors and two piece-squares for the opposing king (depending which B I have). PK.
