Uri, as long as you work only with Shredder, you will for sure stay compatible to Shredder. But the world contains of more places where FEN is used than Shredder. And as I have shown there is no interoperability between Shredder an existing Chess960 online servers (referenced only one example with Brainking). Reinhard.
