Sorry to be reporting this so late, but I finally checked my two CC1's, and the
one with the lower serial number, 4035, the serial numbers are in blue.  I
didn't think that they would be, but after all of the discussion I decided to
check both of mine, and I was surprised.

The numbers don't look all that blue when you look straight on, but if you hold
the CC1 at a slight angle, the numbers are clearly in blue.

Maybe my CC1 is the 2nd one ever built!!  :-)
