Subject: compare AMD XP 2400+ with AMD Sempron 3000+ for chess ?

I have an AMD Athlon XP 2400+ system running at 2.0 GHz which works well. I have
a chance to pick up an AMD Sempron 3000+ computer system for a pittance. Is it
going to be faster or slower with chess engines like Deep Fritz 8 and Shredder
9?
