Steve the first on that I can recall was called "Boris" and it gave misc comments. The next one that I ever saw was made by Radio Shack. For your information I own the Tryom CC700. It runs on a 7v battery and has leds not lcds so it eats up batteries quite fast. I am not sure if I have an external adaptor any more or not. Never use the thing any more and don't know what kind of rating it has/had. Bill
