I forgot that he also said that his playing description was "misleading".

Here's what it says in CM9000:
A tenacious, not overly aggressive, defender, the Kamsky-style prefers
to wait until the endgame, where it is especially strong. This
personality is quite comfortable playing cramped openings that most
would find uncomfortable.

Kamsky said "I was more or less playing universal chess defending and attacking
where needed."

The conversation initially started when Kamsky discovered that there was a
personality bearing his name in Chessmaster 9000. He posted on r.g.c.c. wanting
to know the earliest version of Chessmaster to have a Kamsky personality, and it
was CM5000.
