I had a pretty good rating and than i started playing fast chess. 1-5 minute games. I was good at it and my rating went up and leveled off. So i decided to play 30 min. games again and found my rating going down. It took about 4 months to get back playing good chess again. Now my rating up highest its ever been and still improving. NO more fast games for me. good luck, Gerold. P.S. I tryed the draws games vs. top engines and did ok but as you say your learning stops.
