That particular combination will be painful.  It is probably the most difficult
choice there is.

You would need to use an Auto232 adapter for both, or install CM as a UCI engine
by using WB2UCI.

If you have some easier combinations to try, I would suggest pitting UCI engines
against UCI engines or WB engines against WB engines or something of that
nature.

If you have Arena installed, that it the easiest way to make contests.  But you
cannot run ChessBase engines under that GUI.

Winboard is also easy, but it only pits Winboard engines against Winboard
engines.  You can trick it with WB2UCI or with Polyglot, but that takes a bit of
work.

So let's back up a bit:
What engines do you have available?
What GUIs do you have available?
What sort of contests are you interested in?
