World Famous in the sense that every collector worth his salt either has one or
wants one

the Sparc module was the strongest and last chess engine programmed by the now
divorced Spracklen husband and wife team and the strongest program released by
Saitek
rated at just under 2250 Elo ,it ran on a Risc Proceesor at 20 Mhz with 1MB for
the hash table

it could be used in all three of the Tournament sized Wooden Saitek boards but
the boards had to be modified to accept the module

while not considered rare the module alone is fairly expensive generally selling
for $500-$750 without any board

there was however a VERY RARE upgrade available to the Sparc which increased the
hash table ram to 4MB

A 4Mb Sparc is highly sought after by top collectors worldwide

i know of only one collector who has one

the 1MB Sparc
