ProDeo is FREEWARE (it is not COMMERCIAL, TRUSTWARE, SHAREWARE, ...), but CLOSED SOURCE. Fruit is FREEWARE _and_ OPENSOURCE. An opensource software can have different restrictions (e.g. GPL,MPL,IPL, ...). That's all!
