Hello Rolf,

Eduard is a strong chess player, which often has invested time and suggestions
in testing SMIRF beta versions. But since I voted for a more tolerant handling
of Chess960 OTB castlings and new Shredder for FRC has been available, he has
switched into a blind follower of SMK's attacks against compatible Chess960.

This is something it is very strange to me. It seems as if any new idea could be
misinterpreted as an attack against tradion. But such new creations simply are
invitations, not devaluating the status quo. Thus nobody is forced to leave his
old traditional chess or to move to 10x8 chess. It should be: live and let live.

I do not claim to be positioned at a "higher" level, though I may be somehow
productive with my ideas. So Chess960 also is not introduced as a "better"
chess, but as a chance for people, which love to be creative playing chess
instead of memorizing and reproducing well known openings and foreign knowledge.
That way young people again might get into contact with chess, no longer being
forced to study libraries of books on opening experiences of big masters, before
becoming able to perform a satisfying chess game with more experienced players.

I (mostly) try to stay near the theme basing the discussion instead of joining a
low flaming level. But sometimes it is unavoidable to give some "feed back" to
such unnecessary attacks. But it is of course very disappointing to see, that a
serious discussion e.g. on which FEN should be selected for Chess960 seems to be
made impossible by blinker wearing fans not being able to understand or even see
the kernel of the problem.

Actually I am somehow frustrated. I restarted thinking on Go game which paused
for years. Smirf could be downloaded and tested free until end of September to
enable people to work out whether my arguments would hold or not. But instead of
using that possibility it seems to be easier to flame without being based on any
facts. There is no chance to create a homo novus out of a blind ignorant.

Thank you for encouraging.
