I do not intend to change Smirf's lay out as a FullChess application, which is meaning to include variants compatibly including traditional chess. But I am working on the idea to enable insertions of blocking squares, that way giving a chance to reduce the size of the playable zone into different shapes. But actually the acceptance of the SMIRF idea is very low. A lot of people simultaneously are demanding Smirf to be freeware and try to characterize my ideas to be a sort of nonsense.
