Are you sure of that? Or could it not be that Rebel 13
had stored good moves in its book against 1.a4?

This is not proof enough for me. In our tournaments we almost never
have the learning feature enabled. Nevertheless, it happens indeed
very seldom that a worse book line is repeated in the same match.
