These are not my own words but from stefan meyer kahlen and rudolf huber: "searching 5 plies deeper compared to what diep gets now, is +90 rating points." That's a lot of rating points. Obviously those first 2600 rating points you get by having a strong engine are more relevant. A weak engine has no chance even at 10 million processors.
