Nonsense.

You need to train for it because chess is not mainly about theory and you have
no chance in chess960 against players who trained a lot in solving problems(not
in memorizing theory lines).

I think that usually the better player in normal chess will also win in chess960
because chess is not mainly opening theory.

I believe that knowledge of theory does not give players more than 100-200 elo.
If you are afraid that the opponent know more theory than you then you can
simply escape the main lines without choosing a constant escape so the opponent
will be unable to prepare against your escape.

I remember that I tried one time 1.e4 e5 2.Nf3 Qe7 against a player that was
near 100 elo better than me and got a draw.

There are many ways to escape the main lines and I guess that usually players
know almost nothing about them even if they were played in the past because it
is impossible to remember every line that is played in less than 0.01% of the
games.
