Having gotten some nasty Emails from some people from this forum who are NOT moderators, I think that it is human nature to get annoyed at someone and to have communications get out of hand. The problem is that moderators are easier targets since they cannot defend themselves without appearing to be tyrants. I also think that some people are more sensitive than others (especially when reading Email) and they can overreact to messages (I am not saying that this happened in this case). I think it is human nature for some people to say "Hey, how can you come down on me for my posting when xyz person posted the following. You are being unfair and your Email was nasty.". Not everyone can have an open mind when someone else corrects (and in some people's mind, criticizes) their postings. This said, I will drop this.
