It is just the move which gives more attractive positions for the Human eyes. I don't know BTW why you quote 'Polgar' here ,as this move was played by 10000's of players already? Me myself I would just transpose with ...Qc7 then, instead of let's say ...Kf8. I just don't trust ...Kf8 and 0-0 even more, but I don't know what current theory says meanwhile? I stopped opening theory learning around 10 years ago, after learning it for several years intensively in the late 80ies until mid 90ies. Guenther
