Good morning all, My domain name crafty-chess.com has been confiscated and the hosting package has been terminated for the reasons of "illegal usage" on August 2, 2005. On August 2, 2005 there were two files uploaded to my server via the account I setup for people to contribute books/user files/crafty se/ssdf databases. Only 8 people that I know of have that username and password. One of the files uploaded was a crack for Windows Genuine Advantage for Windows XP (named LegitCheckControl.patch.for.updates.exe). Promptly after being uploaded, it was downloaded one time within minutes of being placed there. The other was a database from Tony Hedlund. Since it was an .exe file it was flagged on their systems and because there was no readme.txt file in that folder explaining what it was, and the previous two complaints of piracy from specific users here, my account was terminated, and the domain locked. Of the eight people who had that specific password, whoever did this, I hope you are proud of yourself. You just cost me more than $100 for no other reason I can see than to be spiteful. With being extremely busy taking care of my father I will be re-registering another domain name soon for my Crafty site as _many_ people used it, and I will have to find another host. I do have a backup of the site from the previous host (atleast they gave me that), so all the previous files are there excluding the crack file. Peter
