I noticed a minor issue with Naum (1.8 and 1.71 and presumably earlier versions as well) playing knkp and kbkp endgames. When Naum has the knight or the bishop, and Naum's king is blocking oppponent's pawn from moving, Naum declines to capture the opponent's pawn and end the game. Instead it moves its piece around for 50 moves. Some engines I tried (Wildcat) seemed to have preference for finding the tablebase capture move, and these engines end the game quickly by capturing the opponent's pawn, saving the 50 moves of tournament (and testing) time to get the draw. Does anyone know of other engines that have this behavior? Regards, John
