I am having a problem with a lot of my freeware engines i downloaded and installed in chessbase. I know i did the installation right. Because they are working right in tournaments, and they will all work right if u pick them to play a game against yourself. The hash changes perfectly thru chessbase, as ive checked this thru the task manager. Some of them i hav ethis problem with, and some i dont. It comes up when i decide to run an engine vs. engine match. Lets say i pick a certain engine to play the black pieces. I click on define and choose the book i want, and the hash setting i want it to use. When i click on ok, it brings up the program name with the opening book i chose, and to the right of the engine name it will show the hash setting i chose. Thats on BLACK. But if i choose that same engine to play WHITE instead of black, i go thru the same above procedure, except this time NO HASH VALUE will show up by the engines name. I pick the hash value, but none will show up. It only happens on the white side. I know the engines are installed right, and about half of them work right in this respect, but the other half are giving me this problem. Can anyone out there help me? Thanks, George
