The sentence "the world elite was rare meets...." as applicable as with the
Chess Classic Mainz. Would be still more applicable perhaps "the whole chess
world meets... in Mainz", because unbelievably many well-known top players have
themselves and player inside in actually Rhine-gold-resounded for the
tournaments in classical chess and in Mainz particularly promoted Chess960
appeared. In the match between Vishy the former FIDE world champion with 2:0
could go Anand and Alexander Grischuk into guidance. In the Chess960-WM-Kampf
Peter Svidler leads against Zoltan Almasi with 1,5:0,5. Carsten Straub supplies
a photographic cross section, Hartmut Metz the report to the events of
