I think it is fine for the moderators to decide how much butter to put on the
popcorn as long as they don't dump it on my head.

I didn't see the original post, and I haven't been paying particular attention
to your other posts, but it sounds like what you wrote was something that a
reasonable person could take exception to.  It's the moderators' business to use
their judgement about this, *that* is what we elected them to do.

And the email is polite, got the point across, and doesn't seem likely to
further aggravate a reasonable person.

So, I don't see what you are arguing about.
