With the obvious defeat of shredder in chess960 (yes it was a short tournament) but so are all the others, and junior and shredder have been winning those, amateur programs don't win them. So, we've seen that shredder isn't as GREAT as we thought it was, it is still good, but not the undefeatable god we took it as prior to this tournament. Hiarcs has been hiding in the dark for about 2 and a half years now, nothing happening on that front, with all the chess knowledge packed into that program, anyone really excited to see how well it does in FRC? From what I remember, Mark has been working with chess960 for along time and implementing it into his program. I truely believe chess960 is the future of chess, and for everyone one person like me there are 100 against me, but regardless, its more interesting and fun to watch than standard chess, which is more recollection of old games for the first 12-15 moves than anything else. So incase you forgot what i was typing about, when does hiarcs come out, anyone hear anything about it?
