I will never forget that wonderful week.

And do you remember the starting point? It was the computer
chess world championship in Paris (1997), when the organizers
were not able to provide internet coverage. Instead a team of
volunteers (including Thorsten Czub and me) did the job remotely.
At the end of Paris you sent a "thank you" email to me, starting
with "even in a land like Chile - so near to the south pole..." -
and we became friends.

And he is grandmaster in the meantime, right?
