It will still be Glaurung, but just not based on the current source code.
Glaurung is now about one year old, and the code has grown too
complicated and messy, and there are an awful number of bad design
decisions. The program suffers from what programmers often call
"code rot".

The purpose of rewriting now is to make everything simpler, cleaner and
more compact. The result will be a program very similar to the current
version of Glaurung, but (I hope) slightly smaller, faster and (most
importantly) easier to maintain and develop.

A complete rewrite may sound like a huge amount of work, but in my
case it isn't. Glaurung is a very small program, the total code size is
less than half of most other chess engines.
