Chess Analysis Project Request For Tools: 1. For the Chess Analysis Project, we are in need of a very simple tool. If we could have a move generator that will start with a new game and enumerate all possible chess positions for a given ply, it would be very useful for our purposes. The positions must be in standard EPD format. It would also be very nice if it could save its internal state and be restarted at a later time from where it left off. 2. An EPD reduction tool would be nice to have. For input, it will take EPD positions. It will consider e.p. squares which have no possibility of impact on the game and create a unified output set. We will need to have a notation invented to explain the position. Perhaps an asterisk in the e.p. field of the record. This tool is not as important as the first, but it would be nice to have.
