The official WCCC web site, on the "results" link, says "results will be
provided by chessbase, a link will be provided as soon as possible."

Can you _possibly_ spell "amateur central"???

There is no link.

There are no results or even a mention of the WCCC that I could find on the
chessbase web site. After 3 rounds have been played.

Is it possible to set aside at least a couple of hours for each WCCC, so that
you guys sit down, and actually _plan_ things out so that they happen as they
should? Is there any wonder that the number of participants is steadily
dropping each year? Do any of you guys have enough of a math background to
figure out the "limit" on the equation that fits the number of participants for
the past 15 years of events? (hint: _zero_).

The ACM events were never this amateurish. Starting with Jakarta in 1996 (no
information out of the playing site, no email, or anything), paris (held in a
near "vault" with no outside communication of any kind except for Thorsten who
used his personal cell phone to keep us updated, to ... fast forward to 2005 and
here we are again. Folks at AMD asked "where can we follow the tournament?"
The answer "no web site information is available" makes this seem like a
less-than-serious WCCC event.

Is it possible to clean this up, and do it right, the next time around? Or is
the goal to completely bury computer chess once and for all?

The CCT events have gotten so much more notice and attention than the recent
WCCC events, it should be embarassing. Hopefully it is. And things will change
for the better. One thing is for certain, things can not get any _worse_. So
the good news is it can only get better. Unless it just dies.

Let's go guys. If you have no motivation to make this work, resign and
hopefully we can find someone that is willing to do something useful...
