On the other hand, you can always buy a new motherboard in the future for 100 bucks compatible to socket 939. Im not sure about the advantage of 939 right now, except heat and energy consumption which favorites the newer 939 chips. You normally get better deals for socket 754 systems because they are older. regards Andy
