its the opposite. Programs like fritz have no change in such a tournament.
they MAYBE have in a longer match. they play the wrong chess to be able to take
initiative. thats the reason fritz rarely wins.

for winning you need to be able to take initiative.


 But all this is neither here nor there- thing like this

they are not interested. and never were. they wrote about it because THEIR teams
participated. but they do not have teams anymore.

no fritz. no chessbase. gone.
for many many years the ICGA / ICCA championship was THE tournament to buy the
winner program and to make the deals for the next year.

now this is not really the case.

situation has completely changed. open source projects suddenly are that strong
that they could win.

how can chessbase make profit from this ?!



 It makes me wonder if they are po'd because
