Subject: PDA for chess analysis

Hi,

I’ve currently got an old Ipaq 3660 running Pocket Fritz v1. I’m now
considering upgrading to a Palm Tungsten T3 running Hiarcs. The Palm Hiarcs
page has got some useful results, etc. for the latter, including an estimated
SSDF rating of 2610.

- any estimates of where my current Ipaq/Pfritz combo would fit on this rating
scale?
- I realise that knps isn’t a good indication of strength, but out of curiousity
what knps does Palm Hiarcs do on a T3?
- what sort of battery life does a T3 get while doing constant analysis? I
found the Ipaq 3660 to be rather poor… less than one hour.
- is the T3 is good choice, where my main criteria is chess analysis? Ebay
looks to have some good 2nd-hand deals.
- any other comments?

thanks

Gordon
