The new moderators are not "under my wing" and I believe they are doing
a better job than I did. I was trying to take the opportunity to say
some things I couldn't say when I was a moderator. Being a moderator is
a repressive job, you are much more constrained about what you can say
and you have to take criticism and abuse that would normally get any
other member kicked out. I feel that their rights are abused and
violated constantly by everyones knee jerk Pavlov dog reaction that
if they say or do something, it must somehow be designed to oppress
us. After all, they have a teeny tiny bit of power, they MUST be bad.

So yes, I defend them because they are the oppressed minority, they are
getting their rights abused every day and they are taking it with style
and grace. And I am going to be outspoken about it, it's my right.

And I'll be just as outspoken about the insensitivity of those who are
abusing them in a most unfair way.
