Thanks - OK second question - why do they bother?

Why not set up a LAN and have both programs (which must be UCI or Winboard
compatible) play on a central server right there?

And if it is because they HAVE to have guys moving the pieces, why don't they do
the Fischer 3 second per move add-on rules. Both parties in that video were
rushing to move pieces and slap the clock, the Fischer rule is to prevent people
from knocking pieces over, as happened in this game.
