but you mention an interesting point
there are those that have a very nice assembly of a dozen or so computers and
the chief interest for them is to play one computer against the other to
determine the differences in the programs and to verify or contradict the SSDF
ratings

they also do not consider themselves "Collectors" per se but rather Entusiasts
and for the most part will only acquire the highest rated computers they can
find

a very rare Chess Challenger Super 9 Deluxe for example(which receintly sold on
Ebay for over $525 would have no interest at all for them

hopefully this will never come to pass..
not the free from collecting part..but at least wear something
