Hi Dann, >> Or perhaps you have a much superior >> opening book? > I am guessing that is not it. The professional programs have more efforts > put into their books than any amateur engine could ever muster. I think it's a part of it -> Erdogan Guennes, the author of Zappa's book works since long at his book and it is very good - don't forget that he was for some time Hydra's book cooker and as far as I know he did create many of his lines with the help of Hydra. So Zappa's book can definitely be called professional. Another book from an amateur which I would call professional is by the way the one of Arturo Ochoa. Interesting is, how much they all care about their books these days. During rounds I get some information about what the Fruit team is doing for preperation for the next round. Even that is impressive for me - I did never nearly as much as they do, for me it was always just a decision as white wether to play d4 or e4 and as black if I want to disable c5 or not. That was all my book preperation... :) Greets, Thomas
