Go up one level in this thread
maybe the typical: i have 10 titles crisis midlife-crisis programmers seem to have :-))) up and down. for a long time shredder dominated like richard lang did in the 80ties and 90ties. suddenly new interesting programs are growing faster then we could test them. thats impressive. i do especially like that those programs play such an active and aggressive chess, like new paradigm programs. e.g. the evaluations of zappa for king attacks and passed pawn remind me very much on the high values of CSTal. strange. but why not. if it works any weird idea is ok :-) We are very happy now. and we feel with stefan. i am sure stefan will give his best to take over one day. but maybe not in 2005. it seems shredder in 2005 is not at its best.
