So that idea is shot down in flames, because from what I hear the Rebel opening book is made for Rebel and so it can play its best game with that opening book. So yes you are off you rocker in the eyes of many here. As for other programs I am not sure, but CM6K can play a g3 opening move and still beat Rebel 10 even with Rebels own book, not altered in any way. So I wonder if this kind of move is that bad. But I think your idea has merit, as long as the opening books are swapped. But if you do this make sure when you post your games that you mention this, and not forget to leave out the smallest detail or you will get picked on big time by your fellow members regards Micheal
