I remember awhile ago we had a big debate as to if programs who could beat other programs, did not necessarily have the same success against humans. To name a few programs off the top of my head, Hiarcs and Chesstiger are 'known' to be good against humans, but this 'known' where does it come from? Shredder is great against other programs, seems zappa is too. When chessbase came out with their article about fritz 9 being designed to beat humans and not so much programs, people, atleast from what I could read didn't believe them. What are people's thoughts now? After the WCCC, after watching the styles of the programs, after Man vs Machine, after Hydra vs adams, after multiple games all around the world of man vs machine. Hydra is great program vs program and against humans, Personally, I don't feel there is a differance anymore on highend programs, If Zappa were to Enter Leiden with a bunch of super GM's on classical time control I would bet all my money on Zappa, your views now people?
