This was one tournament, 11 rounds....

And from that you can conclude that the commercial programs are in trouble?
Maybe from those that don't realize that 11 game is nothing, and _anything_ can
happen in one game.

I think the commercials are just fine and don't have too much to worry about.
Out of the near 300 free engines out, there are maybe 10 that give the
commercials problems in any given game. In a match of 50 games, I would put my
money on the commercials just about every time.

Zappa drew Fute MT.. does that make it better than Shredder, Junior, Crafty,
Diep, Deep Sjeng... ? By your rationalization it does... ALL HAIL THE NEW KING
FUTE MT!

Come on.. use some common sense.

Zappa did an amazing job this year. Winning CCT7 and the WCCC2005 is impressive.
Hats off to Anthony. He deserved the win.

Whenever someone leads a tournament from start to finish, you can be damn sure
the best program won. How can you dispute that? Do I think Zappa is the next
best thing? Not yet.. but it is darn close.

Peter
