At this point, all the evidence I have seen indicates that you are wrong. Especially in the case of Fruit, which appears to be easily on par with the finest commercial programs for strength on a single CPU system. This is a golden age for computer chess, and we are seeing miracles. For me, it is so enjoyable to watch that I am beside myself.
