Of course fritz is no good in opening, it is not good at all, but if both programs don't know what to think from the position, then the deeper searching program wins, and at equal hardware, this happens to be fritz or ferret, and as fritz is the only commercial one of the 2, it is fritz in this case. Now we take a look at the positions chosen by Nunn. Nunn explains he has chosen positions which he thinks are difficult for chessprograms. He clearly has managed to do this 4 positions that are more or less closed 4 positions that have to do with a pawn that may not be pushed 2 positions that have a king in the centre Greetings, Vincent
