I would rather see 12' + 1 second Fischer increment.

the extra 3 minutes will be worth 180 plies total extra for both sides so I
think that the impact will be minimal.  I suggest the one second increment
because it will prevent totally stupid play at the tail end of games.
Practically, I don't think it will make the games run longer on average (though
theoretically, you could have some longer games)

But it is not a big concern to me because blitz is less interesting than the
longer contests.  So whatever the programmers like is better.
