I think that the real problem is the curse of good marketing + high dollar
sponsors.

Now that they have achieved the original target goal, losses against what is
perceived to be lesser foes will spoil the dollars spent.

I guess that the programmers and engineers would play anything that moves, given
the opportunity.  But those who threw buckets and buckets of cash at it might
not be so keen for that sort of thing.

But wild speculation on my part, of course.
